Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings have came a long way from the beginning. With their first album only selling 100,00 copies, their next album "i learned the had way" made a big come back by seling 23,000 copies in the first week making their album #15 on the billboard charts. Their passion for soul is clearly seen in their four critically acclaimed albums Dap Dippin (2002), Naturally (2005), 100 days 100 nights (2007), and I Learned the Hard Way all released by Daptone records out of Brooklyn, NY.

Although its hard to maintain such a big band on the road for so long, they continue to maintain it and are known to keep a house packed including two sold out shows at the infamous Apollo Theatre last year.
