Sharon Jones has been called the female James Brown and I'd say its not a stretch. Her show with the Dap-Kings last December at The Echo was the best dance-party time I had all year.

i saw sharon jones and the dap kings when they came to LA last year at the echo and then a few days later at sunset junction. she is a great live performer. going to try to make it.
