Sharna Fabiano is among the most accomplished young tango performers and teachers in the United States. For her first show in Washington, DC she brings together an impressive cast of tango dancers, modern dancers and tango musicians for a contemporary interpretation of the powerful and eternal Argentine Tango. From this spirited group of artists, the tango emerges both earthy and elegant, subtle and sharp. Passionate embraces meet quiet moments of personal reflection, and gender roles are challenged as women exchange the follow and lead with men. The performance features live music by Siempre Tango Orchestra. An artist co-presentation.
