Dust off your dancing shoes and get set to rock your best “jig”, because it’s time again to go green at the 15th Annual Miller Lite sham ROCK 2011 presented by Jameson and The Field. That’s right, on St. Patrick’s Day, Thursday, March 17th, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until Midnight, we’ll be celebrating the luck o’ the Irish as we roll out those well loved 60,000 square feet of green Astroturf to transform the Gaslamp Quarter into an urban, super chic version of the rolling hills of Ireland! Everybody knows that Emerald is the jewel of the Gaslamp and with three stages of live entertainment featuring everyone’s favorite the Young Dubliners, authentic Irish fayre, get lucky libations and go-go dancers that are hot enough to make even a leprechaun blush, its no wonder that sham ROCK is the Gaslamp’s favorite block party! Get positively Celtic at the main stage with live bands featuring everything from traditional Irish music & step dancers to some of Southern California’s best dance bands and of course, Irish punk rock. You can also bounce to the two DJ stages where live DJ’s will be spinning the electronica, hip-hop & house music around! Sink your teeth into the cuisine of “Erin go Braugh” as The Field serves up amazing traditional dishes that are sure to bring on your brogue. Speaking of Irish brogue, be sure to order up the perfect pint of green beer from Miller Lite or try a jigger of Jameson Irish Whisky mixed up to concoct a St. Paddy’s Day libation you’ll remember year round. sham ROCK will once again take place on “F” street between 5th and 7th Avenues and 6th Avenue between E and G Streets, in the Gaslamp Quarter. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door and your wristband into sham ROCK will also get you in and out privileges as well as no cover and food and drink specials at dozens of the Gaslamp Quarter’s hottest nightclubs and restaurants.
