"Shades”
by
Amrish Vijay Malvankar

An architect by profession and an artist by choice, Amrish showcases his first exhibition titled ‘Shades’ this month. A graduate of the prestigious Sir JJ School of Architecture, Mumbai he has over a decade of experience in his professional field. A keen eye for detailing beautiful and aesthetical compositions his paintings are a natural extension of his creativity, which has spilled over to the canvas. Having a natural inclination towards the fine arts he excelled in his use of colors across various mediums from a very young age.

This exhibition titled ‘Shades’ is a selection of different colors and textures that he has captured  over the years. Each painting connects with you through your own personal reflections. The idea is to enjoy the pure visual beauty of different shades of colors and combinations. He wants people to immerse themselves in the visual treat that is put together celebrating the myraid shades of life. The unusual mix of colors and mediums that he experiments with are eye catching. Water colors, oil paints, sketching and acrylic are all part of an extensive palette of his expressions. Amrish's flair for bold colors is very prominent and his creativity in unrestrained strokes is limited only by the borders of the canvas.
