Galen has recently played at the electrifying New Years Day event at Café Cocomo brought to you by Sunset and Stompy.com. If you were there you know he had one of the best sets of the night. Galen is a SF icon to many industry people and house music connoisseurs. You can find him in Tweekin Records on Haight st for the tip on the latest hits.

Enchanted by music from an early age, Galen tried guitar, trumpet, clarinet, flute and vocals before finally committing to keyboards at the age of 18. During the 80’s he played in several bands, influenced by artists like Depeche Mode, Yello, Prince and Gary Numan. He discovered the SF House music scene in 1992 and learned to DJ that year, triggering his creation of the PacificSound System and the legendary Sunset Parties. In addition to the PacificSound events, Galen has been a guest DJ at countless clubs and events at home, across the nation and around the world in Canada and Europe.

Moving to San Francisco from native Idaho during the American rave scene’s nascent days, DJ DRC cut her teeth on the decks coming up together with such West Coast dance music icons as DJ Dan, Christopher Lawrence, Donald Glaude, Sandra Collins, the Hardkiss Family and Jondi & Spesh (Looq Records).

“One of America’s Top 100 DJ’s” – Sweater Magazine.

Making her name on the scene through a skillfully mixed hybrid of tough tribal, trance, techno, breaks and bass-heavy drum’n’bass, DRC’s high voltage performances and technical skills behind the decks, soon found her crisscrossing the U.S. weekly, electrifying dance floors coast to coast as well as the Closing Party at the 2000 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games and on tours of Canada, Germany, Holland and Eastern Europe.
