SF Sketchfest: The San Francisco Comedy Festival presents
Things We Made
Things We Made offers an atmosphere to share unconventional creations. Patrick Bulger and Jesse Fernandez, a comedy duo worthy of the gods, present thought-provoking pieces about anything from gangster rap to starfish safety. Paul Marino brings to the stage a salad of wit, characters, illustrations, movement, music, and even magic (illusion). The savory music of DJ Real is glazed by his passionate dance, and broken up with one-man, tech-savvy skits and corny jokes.
The Birthday Boys hail from the UCB Theatre Los Angeles, where they create sketch comedy that often combines classic comedic scenarios with inventive performance. They've performed at festivals in New York, Seattle, and Los Angeles and have appeared at a variety of venues and showcases, including Comedy Death-Ray, Comedy Central Stage, iO West, Steve Allen Theater, and Garage Comedy. Their debut sketch show, Hotdoggin' (directed by Neil Campbell and Paul Rust), has played to sold-out crowds at UCB and is a Defamer.com "To do" pick. The Birthday Boys are featured contributors to FunnyorDie.com and UCBComedy.com.
BriTANicK (pronounced bry-TAN-ick) is a New York-based sketch comedy group consisting of writer/performers Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney. Brian and Nick grew up together in Atlanta, Georgia where they spent most of their time making short ridiculous videos. They are currently seniors at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where Brian majors in Film and Nick in Drama. BriTANicK produces both videos and performances that can range anywhere from unreasonably absurd to elegantly hilarious. Brian and Nick essentially plan to spend the rest of their lives filming their ridiculous videos and happily invite you along for the ride. They return to SF Sketchfest after packed enthusiastic houses in last year's festival.
