Sentencing in the Oregon Judicial System: A Conversation October 13, 2010

On October 13, Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Michael Marcus and Gail Meyer J.D., Legislative Representative for the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association discuss judicial sentencing. They will lead participants in a conversation about the history of sentencing, how Americans understand the practice and why it is such a contentious subject. The group will also examine the the greater philosophical and social concepts behind sentencing.
