The new Wilfred George Adult Day Center is the most recent milestone for Senior Access, bringing together three programs and the administrative staff into one building. Senior Access will have a formal dedication of its new home and an open house to tour the facility. There will be a short presentation with guest speakers Supervisor Susan L. Adams and Dr. Larry Meredith, Director of Health and Human Services. The Adult Day Program at the Wilfred George Adult Day Center offers specialized activities such as Tai Chi, expressive art, musical performances, discussion groups and cultural and historical educational activities. The program also includes meals and personal care.

Senior Access was founded in 1973, and is the only nonprofit licensed adult day program providing services for older adults and their caregivers, specializing in Alzheimer’s care. The organization’s professionally trained staff provides activities, nurturing care and support services that enhance the quality of life of older adults suffering from chronic health conditions, Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Adult day programs reduce isolation and help to maintain physical, cognitive and emotional health of the participants. Senior Access’ services provide much-needed respite for caregivers. www.senioraccess.org
