The Powerhouse Theatre presents the second annual Festival of New Solo Plays from Stacie Chaiken's "What's the Story?" workshop. These fifteen writer-performers promise an eclectic array of new work that is deeply moving, hilariously brave, bawdy, brazen and bold.

New plays from Christina Johnson ("Hunger Strike"), Tamara Krinsky ("Egg Child"), Mary DeTienne ("Hell, No! We Won’t Go, or How To Avoid Getting Pushed Off the Edge of a Cliff in a Hang-glider Glued Together by Stoners"), Trey Burnette (Rim of the World"), Jake Arnette ("My Neck is Crumbling"), Stephanie Stephenson ("Husband Fatigue: Kettlecorn & the Antichrist"), Joseph Valdez (" A Chat with Death"), Amber Willat ("The Lucy House"), Chrystee Pharris ("In Search of O"), Gabby Friedenthal ("Motherhood Unplugged"), Lisa Sandoval ("The Yowling: What We Don't Talk About").

The " 'What's the Story?' Festival of New Solo Plays" takes place March 27 through April 6 at The Powerhouse Theatre, 3116 2nd Street in Santa Monica, 90405 (one block east of Main, between Rose and Marine).
