From clothes to cars to computers, the kinds of things that you and your family depend on every day are delivered through the Port of Portland’s marine terminals. Because most of the activity happens behind the scenes, the terminals have always been a bit of a mystery—until now. You are invited inside the fences to the fourth annual Seaport Celebration at Terminal 6 on August 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This isn’t your average “open house.” It’s a pirate-themed party at the port! As you step off of the complimentary shuttle, you’ll be welcomed by a live pirate band, fun games and entertaining exhibits. Enjoy live demonstrations of heavy duty equipment, walk inside a container box, or take a tour of the facility—you can even virtually pilot a container ship on a computer.
