Presentation Overview: Getting Going on the New Venture in 2011 - Choosing the Right Idea, Building the Team and Getting the Venture Started

Starting a new venture in the middle of a historic downturn is not for the faint of heart, but fortunately many have gone before you and you can come to this evening seminar and learn from those CEO's, startup advisors and others about how to focus on the right opportunity, build a team that will succeed and get through the formation mechanics without getting too side-tracked from the key focus of building a product/solution that will sell in the marketplace. Topics to be covered include:

-Choosing the right "problem" to solve, tips on how to choose the right market/product opportunity for your new venture or at least avoid the sectors that have classic "danger" warning signals
-Finding co-founders, advice on how to assess your strengths, weaknesses so you can add team members to bolster the venture
-Finding a space/place to start - out of the house or into an office? Or maybe an incubator? What are the ups/downs of those options?
-To business plan or not? Is it really helpful or necessary?
-Setting-up the new venture - when to incorporate, setup option plans and other legal mechanics of the new venture launch
-What other advisors are necessary? How to choose banks, accountants, lawyers and build advisory boards
