Sandra Lee Gallery is excited to present a colorful finale to the summer season with outstanding artists; David Mark, Donna McGinnis and Marilyn Kuksht.

Marilyn Kuksht redefines sculpture in her rendering of form and interaction of color and surface on implied movement. Her patina sculptures are achieved by applying chemical solutions and pigments to the completed sculptures as they are heated with a torch. The results range from soft organic effects to luminously intense color saturations. Marilyn describes her works; "Creating sculpture is like capturing the energy released from collisions of form and space."

Donna McGinnis has earned pervasive acclaim for her remarkable landscape paintings which have a propensity to defy genre. Her once dream-like landscapes of nonexistent places have now become conceptual expressions of memories. Her process begins on a blank canvas, layering rapid brush strokes until an image of ambiguity emerges organically. This process allows her pieces to become timeless expressions of a mood and more then just a place in time.

David Mark employs painting as a method with which to discover the realm beyond what is commonly observed. As dedicated to science and philosophy as to art, Mark weaves facets of discovery to generate stunning and complex pieces. His oil paintings are expansive representations of the atmosphere that through light and color create an eternal pathway above and beyond what the naked eye can see. David's manipulation of the paint's translucent and reflective properties creates an illumination of nature and our place within it.
