"Angie, 91, lived through three decades of rust, riot and ruin in Asbury Park, the one-time postcard paradise. Now the tiny bungalow that she has called home, for half her life, will be seized by eminent domain. Hundreds of homes, apartment buildings and local businesses are boarded up, ready for the wrecking ball. Angie’s may be next."

In November 2006, Christina Eliopoulos came to DCTV to finish post-production on Greetings from Asbury Park, a feature documentary set in her hometown of Asbury Park, NJ. The completion of this project not only marks a significant achievement for Christina, but also a significant work on the critical issue of eminent domain, which is affecting small towns and big cities across America everyday.

We are proud to celebrate Christina and her achievement with this film at our first Made @ DCTV screening. Join Christina and her team as they share their fine cut and discuss the complex and extraordinary journey of independent film production.

DCTV Presents is our screening and event series that highlights significant and innovative work from the independent filmmaking community. As part of this series, Made @ DCTV showcases work which used DCTV as a filmmaking resource.

Christina Eliopoulos made her film. Her story will help you make yours.
