Closing out yet another scorching summer, Scion and nuance marketing agency malbon Brothers Farms (mBF) turn up the heat one more time with the fourth annual Route 06: Scion Independent Film Series. This year’s lineup brings together four of the best and brightest upcoming filmmakers. Together, mBF and Scion have chosen an exciting lineup of award winning independent films, which will tour six cities across the United States, including Atlanta, over a four month period. Each film centers on a different theme growing out of the afrobeat, hip-hop and street art cultures.

Route 06 will feature the following screenings in each selected city: Infamy, Favela Rising, Just for Kicks, and Next: A Primer on Urban Painting. Before each screening the film short, Retail Mafia Documentary, will be shown. Each film was selected for its groundbreaking style, originality, subject matter and cast.

This Tuesday, "Just for Kicks" screens at Center Stage (1374 W. Peachtree St.). The event starts at 8pm with music from the area's best DJ's. After the film, moviegoers will be invited to take part in a Q&A session with the filmmakers and meet them at a VIP reception.

All events are open to the public, but please visit www.scion.com/route to RSVP.
