On 1 October 1969 a sonic boom rang out from Concorde for the first time. Forty years on, discover Concorde’s secrets and how, though the aircraft is no longer active, its legacy lives on in the planes we fly today.

Professor Jeff Jupp, Mechanical Engineering, University of Bath. Worked with Airbus France to restore Concorde to service following the tragic accident in Paris in July 2000.
