SCI-FI-LONDON is the UK’s leading genre event and an internationally recognised launch pad for genre movies. At each festival we have at least a dozen UK premieres.
The festival is now in its 9th year and will take place Wed 28th April – Mon 3rd May 2010 at The Apollo Piccadilly Circus Cinema, London’s most luxurious cinema.
Test Pilota Pirxa
Can robots replace human beings? Pirxa is the commander of a spaceship with a human crew but finds out one of them could be a robot. Which one and what threat does he pose? Test Pilot Pirxa is a landmark film for Polish cinema it was the first time futuristic sets were created for a Polish film.
Will be screened with: X (2005, Dir. Raphael Wahl, Germany, 6mins) Inspired by Stanislaw Lem’s short stories about the spaceman Ijon Tichy, this film tells of a comical space travel adventure. Winner of the SCI-FI-LONDON Best Short Film Award 2006.
