SCI-FI-LONDON is the UK’s leading genre event and an internationally recognised launch pad for genre movies. At each festival we have at least a dozen UK premieres.
The festival is now in its 9th year and will take place Wed 28th April – Mon 3rd May 2010 at The Apollo Piccadilly Circus Cinema, London’s most luxurious cinema.
The web is the greatest democratiser of our time, giving a voice to even the most marginalised, such as Wes Vance and Aaron Frye, the hosts of http://www.deadpit.com.
Dead Pit is an internet radio station dedicated to horror movies, run by The Creepy Kentuckian and Uncle Bill, from a single room in Prestonsburg, an old coalmining town in Kentucky where this duo is a bit of an anomaly. These selfconfessed rednecks are the horror genre’s equivalent of Harry Knowles – fan boys who got famous and respected within the horror community – doing what they love, in spite of their thick Kentucky accents.
See what can be achieved with a couple of microphones, passion and an Internet connection.
