Save Shanghai Heritage: Yangpu Tour August 17, 2007

At short notice we have planned an exploration of the Yangpu area. The following are the details for this field trip:

Area: Yangpu

Date: Saturday 18th August

Meeting Point: Portman Centre, Nanjing Road West

Time: 10.00am and return around 3.30pm

The Itinerary will include:

1. Lester Institute - 505 Changzhi Road

2. Tilanqiao - former Jewish ghetto

3. Yangshupu Waterworks Museum - 830 Yangshupu Road

4. Fuxing Island

5. Asia-Pacific Design Centre located in former GE factory - 2200 Yangshupu Road, just north of the Yangpu Bridge.

Commentary on the bus will be from Henry Zhang, who translated the book "Yangpu, Where History Lives On", published by Old China Hand Press, 2005.

Friends are welcome to come along.

Cost 100RMB per person
