Cops Against Illegal Racing (C.A.I.R.) is a not-for-profit corporation that was created in 2008 by law enforcement to prevent illegal racing (street racing), aggressive/reckless driving and impairment.

WHY: "Racing to Save Lives through Intervention, Cooperation and Education." All proceeds benefit the Cops C.A.I.R. Campaign. Based on the alarming fact that vehicle crashes are the #1 cause of death for teenagers between the ages of 16-20, a group of Savannah area law enforcement officers decided to take proactive steps in an effort to reduce vehicle related crashes that result in injury, property damage and fatality. As such, they believe that "Intervention, Cooperation and Education" are the three key components in reaching young and seasoned drivers alike.

HOW: Car show is open to all makes and models. Advance registration is $15 (through January 22). Registration on the day of the show is $20. Registration is from 8AM - 12NOON, judging 12NOON - 1 PM and awards will be presented at 3 PM. Registration forms can be printed by visiting http://www.CopsCAIR.org.
