Saul Steinberg’s New York: A Conversation with Ian Frazier and Joel Smith

In nearly six decades at The New Yorker, Saul Steinberg shared the magazine’s pages with dozens of other artists and writers who shaped New Yorkers’ view of their world. Ian Frazier, staff writer at The New Yorker and author of Gone to New York: Adventures in the City (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2005), and Joel Smith, Steinberg curator and scholar, will explore the city that was discovered, and indelibly reinvented, by Steinberg and his colleagues. Presented in conjunction with A City on Paper: Saul Steinberg’s New York.
