So you have a great idea for a new company. You plan to get outside money to get moving on the project. You put together a business plan and a pitch for your project. What is it that Angel Investors are looking for you to have in that plan? What can you be doing in your pitch that will totally stop the conversation? How can you be effective in raising Angel Funds for a project? Come listen to people actively involved in investing talk about what they look for.

Dan Whitaker is an active investor and serial entrepreneur. He has been part of dozens of startup companies,
including Rogue Wave and Hot Data. Dan is a member in the Oregon Angel Fund.

Krishna Rao

Krishna Rao is a Real Estate Developer and Private Equity investor with interests in Information Technology/Software,
Solar energy and high tech businesses. He is one of the principals in the Valley Venture Group

Cheryl Krane, Portfolio Advisor (http://fluffco.net/)

Ms. Krane currently is a portfolio advisor to Irving J Levin and his investment vehicle, Fluffco LLC. She has structured and managed equity and debt investments in private companies for Fluffco since 2002. Prior to working with Irving Levin she founded and raised $4.5mm in angel capital for Poppybox Gardens, a start-up gardening retailer. Prior to that she was a consultant to the venture industry and worked as a venture capitalist for ten years at BancBoston Venturues. She also worked in marketing for two high technology companies. She has held numerous board seats and currently sits on the board of Arxx, Pacific Interpreters, Vigilan, Cielo, and Rodin. She received a B.S. / B.A. from Boston University and a M.S. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
