Experience the talented young musicians of the Santa Barbara Youth Symphony in the 2013 May Concert. Under Music Director Andy Radford, young musicians from the Santa Barbara Youth Symphony, including cello soloist Laura Baldwin, will perform Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 1 in c minor. The Youth Symphony will also perform William’s The Emperor Strikes Back and Raiders March, Franz Joseph Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 1 in C Minor, and Lieutenant Kije: Symphonic Suite, Op. 60 by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev.

Dos Pueblos High School senior Laura Baldwin was chosen by audition to perform as a cello soloist in the May concert program.

Santa Barbara Youth Symphony serves the region by providing musical enrichment to young people through the venues of orchestral performance and instruction in the schools of our community. The Santa Barbara Youth Symphony, Junior Strings and Strings Workshop are among the Education and Outreach program of the Santa Barbara Symphony.
