San Ramon Valley Emergency Preparedness Fair September 12, 2009

The venue is a church building and parking lot, adjacent to the San Ramon Valley School District parking lot.

The event will feature activities for children, including a Kids' Safety House, child fingerprinting, search-and-rescue demonstrations, fire truck tours, fire extinguisher training and child car seat inspections. Free 72-hour preparedness kits will be available to the first 100 guests with additional kits available for $10 each.

Classes will be held at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on topics including stranger danger, earthquake preparedness and pet first aid. Mobile pet licensing, including shots and microchip implanting at a reduced cost, also will be available.
