Girls ages 7 to 12 will have an opportunity to audition for the three-time Grammy award-winning San Francisco Girls Chorus School's East Bay program (www.sfgirlschorus.org ), The 30-year-old San Francisco Girls Chorus performed for the 2009 Inauguration of President Barack Obama and is dedicated to the advancement of young people through the study of excellence in choral music, which builds self-confidence, teamwork, self-discipline, and fosters an appreciation of music and culture. No musical experience is necessary to audition. Long-standing, senior members of the Chorus will be featured performers at the swearing in of President Barack Oabama on the steps of the US Capitol building on January 20, and performing home seasons in the Bay Area, touring and recording extensively.
