EcoTuesday, a unique, structured monthly networking event for sustainable business leaders held concurrently in eight cities across the country, will feature John Knox of Earth Island Institute as the speaker for the April event in San Francisco.

Come and introduce yourself to a roomful of professionals!

This month we'll celebrate Earth Day together (let's call it "Earth Month!") and John Knox from The Earth Island Institute will join us! John was on our panel called "The Intersection Between Business and the Environment" exactly a year ago, and we're extremely happy to have him back!

John will fill us in on his perspectives on the following topics:
* Earth Day at 40. What do Silverbacks see when they look at the Environmental Movement?
* What's missing in today's environmental movement?
* Is there a better idea than Sustainability for bringing us all together?

John Knox is the Executive Director of Operations for the EII, an international non-profit umbrella organization that provides organizational support for individuals interested in developing projects for the conservation, preservation, and restoration of the global environment. John began with EII as a volunteer in 1984, and began serving as Executive Director in 1986. John has had extensive experience in non-profit management, vocational rehabilitation administration, and community organizing and played a key role in the development of Earth Island's unique organizational model. His commitment to the environmental movement involves simultaneously deepening people's ecological awareness while promoting a concern for sustainable communities.

EcoTuesday is a networking event for sustainable business. Every event features a 20 minute keynote by an industry thought-leader, followed by the hallmark "Introduction Circle" where all participants have an opportunity to share about their about passion and find like-minded collaborators. Events take place nationwide on the fourth Tuesday of the month.

Register online before (it's free) or it's $10 at the door. See you there!
