In Violin and Viola Virtuosity, the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra explores the difference between a violin and a viola with three distinctive compositions: J.S. Bachs wonderful Violin Concerto No. 2 in E Major; the world premiere of Kurt Rohdes latest opus for viola; and a seldom-heard neoclassical masterpiece by Igor Stravinsky, the Dumbarton Oaks Concerto in E-Flat Major for Chamber Orchestra.

Violin and Viola Virtuosity will showcase the substantial talents of local virtuosi Axel Strauss (violin) and Madeline Prager (viola).
