Anhad organises its first programme in Dwarka Sub City. Participants - Funky Aunty, Dhruv Sangari & Amjad Khan.

Funky Aunty - a Rap Metal/Thrash Metal band based in Delhi. On vocals are cross and BK and whose main influences are Rage against the Machine and Lamb of God, combining rap and roars. Guitars are done by Rudy, whose taste includes Incubus, Three Days Grace, etc. On rhythm is Sayak Basu, whose influences are Dream Theater, Bob Marley etc. He is also a backing vocalist. On the drums is Varun, influenced largely by metal and hard rock. The composing is mainy done by Rudy and Varun and then they all sit together and make the song complete. The bass is done by Amlan, who is a western classical student but is slowly getting to the metal side of music. They prefer to keep an all original play list at
gigs, but sometimes do play covers.

Dhruv Sangari - Dhruv began training in music at the age of 7 under Ms. Shahana Bannerjee of the Gwalior Gharana. At the age of 11, he developed a keen interest in the art of percussion and started learning the Tabla under Pandit B.S. Ramanna of the Lucknow Gharana. By the age of 13, Dhruv had become deeply interested in Sufi music, especially Qawwali, and started pursuing the form under Ustad Meraj Nizami Qawwal of the Delhi Gharana. During his graduate and postgraduate years Dhruv learnt Khayal, Dhrupad and related forms under master musician Ustad Ghulam Sadiq Khan of the Rampur Gharana. Other professors included Dr. Krishna Bisht, Dr. Najma Parveen Ahmed, Dr. Anjali Mittal, Dr. Manjushree Tyagi and Dr.Shailendra Goswami.

Amjad Khan - Amjad is today appreciated both in the field of percussion and in music as one of the finest Tabla players. A classical Tabla prodigy, his consistently brilliant and exciting performances have not only enthralled audiences in India but have made him very popular internationally. Amjad's graceful style, intricate technique echoes the great masters of the past. He has learnt Tabla under Ustad Manju Khan,
Ustad Naeemuddin Khan and Ustad Nazir Baba. Amjad carries with himself the legacy of his grandfather, the well-known Sarangi player Ustad banne Khan and of his father the famous Tabla player Ustad Alauddin Khan Sahib. Amjad has been awarded the Title Taal Mani and is empanelled as High Grade artiste with All India Radio.
