BANDS IGNITE THE STOOP CONCERT SERIES IN LANDMARK HELL’S KITCHEN CHURCH

NYC indie bands showcased at The Stoop in Hell’s Kitchen

NEW YORK, New York – October 17, 2012 – The Stoop, a distinctive music venue in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen, is thrilled to present NYC indie favorites Ryness (fronted by Bryce Ryness of Broadway’s “Hair”, “Legally Blonde”, and “Leap of Faith”), Monica Allison, and Torches on Saturday, November 17th.

Acoustic duo Torches, featuring Michael Coia and Lindsey Fulgenzi, will kick off the evening followed by the exciting vocal and piano stylings of Monica Allison. The final band to take the stage will be Ryness. This group is led by singer and guitarist Bryce Ryness whose diverse musical background is complimented by lead guitarist Jeff Washburn, drummer Robin Lai, bassist Jae Ko, and keyboardist Ben Roseberry. As principal songwriter, Ryness draws inspiration from the complexity and nuance of relationships and the collision of art and love in the midst of New York City.

The event will be emceed by Chris MacIntosh (aka “Grandfather Rock”) of WCWP Radio’s “Rock N Soul Gospel”. Doors open at 7:30 pm., and showtime is at 8pm. While the concert is free/pay-what-you-wish, The Stoop will be accepting suggested donations of $12. Guests receive a free gift with the full suggested cover. All drinks and concessions including beer and wine are inexpensively priced under $5.

The Stoop Concert Series and venue are presented by Music Forum of Church For All Nations, Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. Church for All Nations is sponsoring the series in providing the landmark venue as a contribution to the cultural and spiritual life of Hell's Kitchen.
