As singer, songwriter, author, composer, and even screen actor (Scorsese’s The Aviator), Rufus Wainwright has carved out his own singular place in the worlds of rock, opera, theatre, dance, and film. But he is possibly best known as the man Elton John referred to as ‘the greatest songwriter on the planet’.

He is one of the great male vocalists and songwriters of his generation. He has released seven studio albums of which the latest, 2012’s Out of the Game, is produced by Grammy winner Mark Ronson. Wainwright brings his incomparable voice to Liverpool first time since 2007, when he also performed at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. Since then he has written an opera, picked up a Grammy Award and won a BRIT Award for Best International Male Artist. For this special show Choir Stalls seating will be on sale.
