Ross Goldstein

Gorilla Grape

Exhibition: December 14, 2011 through January 11, 2012

Opening Reception: Wednesday, December 14 from 7-10pm

Journeying cross-country with a Polaroid camera, artist/musician Ross Goldstein rediscovers and breaths new life into often forgotten aspects of Americana. On view in “Gorilla Grape” will be 15 enlarged prints from Goldstein’s new photo book : 39 Polaroids. The show will also include a sound display done in collaboration with: Critter and Guitari. This Goldstein’s first solo art show.

Ross Goldstein was born in Manhattan. He briefly attended the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston. Around this time he began taking road trips around the country - making audio recordings of ambient/environmental sounds in various places of interest. His love of Polaroid photography soon developed alongside the sound work. Goldstein is proud member of the psychedelic rock band: Devin Gary and Ross (with artist pals Devin Flynn and Gary Panter)
