Romantasy Cabaret April 30, 2011

Romantasy Cabaret, a local vaudeville cabaret show, brings its cheeky antics and elaborate stage show back to Club Red in Tempe in 2011 for another season of their naughty lil vaudeville cabaret show. March 19th kicked off the fun-filled season and April 30th presents a unique love-fest with Une Fete D'Amour- A Lover's Ball. The show suggests lovers come have a ball and players come find a lover at this hearts n kisses themed event. With Spring in full swing, the cast and crew promise to bring romance and sensuality to all. Romantasy Cabaret will once again offer its audience their constantly evolving variety show, including many acts not seen anywhere else. This unique variety was just one of the reasons why Romantasy Cabaret was voted Best Vaudeville Show, 2008, by the Phoenix New Times.

Hosted once again by the show's vivacious writer, director and producer, Mizz Lucy Morals, Un Fete D'Amor also promises a silly and fun activities for couples to show how much they really know about one another and fun for singles to perhaps find a new friend. The venue will be decked out in décor befitting a night of romance. On stage watch dancing girls and comics, singers and illusionists, as well as endearing and flirtatious acts sure to entice and titillate. The show will also serve up a bevy of beautiful classic and neo-burlesque beauties, a highlight of the show for which it has achieved much positive press.

Romantasy Cabaret always encourages guests to dress in vintage costumes and by-gone era evening attire for the shows. For this show, anyone in pink or red gets a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a goodie bag stuffed with treats from local merchants.

Other 2011 shows are Lucy's Annual Birthday Bash on August 27 and the annual Daringly Scary Macabre Masquerade on October 22. Plans are in the works for their second annual New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball.

Closing out each show is the after party when the Romantasy Cabaret folks come out to mix and mingle with the audience for photos and fun.

While Club Red is not equipped to serve food, attendees can nosh on various food items for sale by a local food merchant, set up just outside the club's entrance. Big Belly's Barbeque will be selling ooey gooey southern style barbeque for the April show and DJs Dogs n Bratts will set up shop for the August show.

Mizz Lucy Morals urges advance purchase of tickets if patrons hope for a seat for the 3-hour plus show. Front row VIP and VIP Reserved seats sell out quickly. General Admission tickets are usually available through the night of the show.
