Boston University's Filipino Student Association presents:

ROCK FOR HOMES 2009
Benefitting the Philippine National Red Cross and the Gawad Kalinga Organization

Typhoon Ondoy.
Hundreds have died.
Thousands are still missing.
Over 500,000 were left homeless.

On October 24th, BUFSA will be hosting their third annual charity concert in the Tsai Performance Center at Boston University. In the past, this event was titled Kanta at Kalinga, to aid in the effort to build a village in the Philippines that would give homes to 60-100 impoverished families through Gawad Kalinga. Because of the need for immediate aid in the Philippines after Typhoon Ondoy, we've decided to change our service project for this event to benefit the Philippine National Red Cross as well. The aftermath of the typhoon left the Philippines in dire need of aid.

All donations will be split between these two causes and there will be representatives from both organizations at our event. This year's event titled, Rock for Homes 2009, will bring many great acts together- both student groups and outside performers. Rock for Homes 2009 will be one of Boston's biggest charity concerts of the year. BUFSA's main goal for ROCK FOR HOMES 2009, is to spread awareness about the need for aid in the Philippines and to inform everyone about the devastating effects that the Typhoon has caused which the US media has sparsely covered.

The show begins at 7:00PM

Tickets go on sale OCTOBER 19 and will be sold through the entire week from 10AM-4PM at the GSU Link, so look out for us! Tickets will be $8 in advance and $10 at the door, so be sure to get yours as soon as possible! Tickets WILL sell out so be sure to get your tickets in advance.. we would not want you to miss out!
