Come and experience the thrill of rock climbing! People travel from all over the world to climb in the "Gunks" (aka Shawangunk Ridge). The rock formations are unique, the traction is great, and the views are spectacular! The Gunks are recognized as one of the most outstanding climbing areas in the U.S. and offer climbing opportunities at every level. Our fully licensed guides have been climbing for many years and will show you various techniques to help develop your current skills or to create new skills, if you've never been climbing before.

Rappelling courses will also be set up nearby so that you can hike over and try out some beginner to intermediate rappels between climbs. These rappels will be a great way to try some shorter routes to see what rappelling is all about! If you decide you enjoy rappelling, we recommend signing up for our Waterfall Rappel and Tyrolean Traverse/Zip-Line trips this summer!

*New This Year* We will have an option to go caving as well! The cave takes approximately 45 minutes to walk, hike, crawl through and is definitely not for the faint of heart or for anyone who is claustrophobic! But it is a great beginner cave and a wonderful opportunity to get some scenic underground time in. If you decide you like caving, we have a longer caving trip coming up over Memorial Weekend in a cave with a series of waterfalls that you will rappel next to! Caving is a truly unique activity and something you should try at least once!
