German gained national attention when his single, Marlboro Man was distributed nationally with the DVD release of Brokeback Mountain. His songs have been played regularly on Sirius Satellite Radio's OutQ channel, including three #1 hits with Marlboro Man,Open Wide and Fishnet Sailor.
