Parker is a native of Buffalo, New York, where he quickly became established on the Buffalo music scene as a well known and sought-after bass player. His booming, rapid-fire licks earned him the nickname "Freightrain." He is also known for his powerful lead and backup vocals. Robert C. Parker is also an American Indian Artist, he is Haudenasaunee from the Seneca Nation, Great Blue Heron Clan.
