Explore the history and mystery of art glass using the world-renowned collections of the Corning Museum of Glass. Class lectures by leading glass scholars and artists will set the stage for in-depth gallery exploration of this amazing 3,500-year old love affair between artists and the medium of glass. A special focus will be on Steuben Glass and its founder Frederick Carder. Roman, European, American and Studio glass will also be special lecture topics. Enjoy visits to Rakov Research Library and the home of a Steuben collector. Participants will blow a glass ornament and create a fused glass decoration.
