Two courageous choreographers stage an enthralling evening of provocative dance.

RIOULT was founded in 1994 and fast became an established name in modern dance with a reputation for creating and presenting the sensual, articulate, and exquisitely musical works of Pascal Rioult. Born into the American modern dance tradition, RIOULT is creating its own legacy of contemporary dance that speaks to the mind as well as the heart of the global community. The company of ten dancers is based in New York City and presents an annual New York season, as well as touring both nationally and internationally. The Village Voice has described Pascal Rioult as someone who, “clearly knows how to put a dance together. …Rioult has his own bold, sometimes eloquent style, plus a sub-style that can look either antic—even silly—or disturbed.

Known for its cutting-edge contemporary dance projects, emotionally charged and highly physical dancing infused with original music and live vocals, Viewsic Expressions is a tour de force led by Germaul Barnes. A former member of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Barnes’ creative style aims to transform the stage into a full theatrical experience while examining the relationship between movement, costume, design, and music.
