305 NE Wygant St
Portland, Oregon

Ride of Silence
Wednesday, 5/20 at 7 p.m.

We will meet outside the BikeFarm at 305 NE Wygant, near the intersection of NE Alberta and MLK, and roll out shortly after 7 p.m. after brief remarks by whoever wants to speak.

The ride will pass by the site at which
Eric Davidson was struck by a drunk driver last year, near NE 69th and Fremont. Eric suffered a severe brain injury, and his recovery has been very difficult, as chronicled by his wife, Anna-Carin, on her blog at http://aceanderic.wordpress.com/. The driver, Jeremy Jordan, pleaded guilty to second degree assault and drunk driving. Jordan was sentenced to 70 months in prison after attempting to withdraw his guilty plea.

There will be no police escort, no SAG support, and no designated "sweep" riders. Each rider will be responsible for his or her own safety.

Black arm bands are encouraged. We will be silent.
