Two profoundly moving works by Maurice Ravel, performed by the Fry Street Quartet, are juxtaposed with Utah premieres of wildly imaginative compositions by composer Curtis Curtis-Smith. The works by Curtis-Smith utilize the invented technique of bowing the piano and are rarely played due to their breathtaking difficulty. NOVA is releasing the first recording to gather Curtis-Smith's complete works using bowed piano.
