Reno/Tahoe Wine & Food Festival May 19, 2006

Saturday in the grand ballroom of the Reno Hilton. Beverage highlights include a cocktail seminar and pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon tastings Friday and a beer tasting and seminars on rieslings and blended wines Saturday. Culinary highlights for Friday and Saturday include a tasting tour of Tuscany with chef Joe Eidem of Washoe Medical Center and demonstrations of healthy meals from chef Juan-Carlos Cruz of the Food Network. There also will be hors d'oeuvres, live music, a market and work from local artists. Tickets in advance are $35 a day or $60 for both days; day-of tickets are $45. To purchase, call 789-2285.
