Renée Green: Endless Dreams and Time-Based Streams
Opening Night Party

Celebrate the opening of the largest US presentation of work in fifteen years by internationally renowned artist Renée Green with the exhibition Renée Green: Endless Dreams and Time-Based Streams at YBCA on Feb 19. The always fabulous YBCA crowd will dance to the music of DJ Scott Soriano, Oakland's Colossal Yes and L.A.'s post-garage pop sensation Wounded Lion, plus live acid-trip projections by Liquid Light! Come to the party dressed in your best blue shirt, dress or costume to be entered in to win a special gift package.

Renée Green generally devises her works in connection with a specific place, questioning its visible or repressed history, and calling on viewers to answer questions about their vision and perception of the world, history, themselves and others. Her provocative installation pieces often use irony and humor as they cross the boundaries between documentary and fiction. The artist serves as Dean of Graduate Studies at San Francisco Art Institute and currently resides in San Francisco.

The host for the opening night party for Renée Green: Endless Dreams and Time-Based Streams is the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
