1554 Market Street
San Francisco, California 94102

Reception March 2, 6pm to 9pm; Exhibition runs February 26th through March 14th.

Market Street Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of new collages by Susan Adame.

Adame, a life long resident of the Bay Area, has been creating art for over 30 years. Her residence and studio are in Albany, CA.
These collages impart a sense of floating and movement in dreamy pools of color. They were created using hand made paper along with local maps, found leaves and other pieces of art.

Besides street maps of the City of San Francisco, you will see bike maps of the City, guide maps of Golden Gate Park and topography maps of surrounding areas. Many of the maps feature the landmarks of Northern California, including Mt. Tamalpais, Stinson Beach, Muir Woods and Bolinas. The East Bay and South Bay cities, and other areas around the San Francisco Bay Area are represented as well.
Adame is also highly involved in public art including establishing an art gallery, organizing art festivals for the Chamber of Commerce and working with the Albany Art Committee. She has written public art policies and worked to promote local artists.

Free and open to the public.
