Over the last few decades, a broad range of artists have explored the rich territories of memory, loss and time intrinsic to the human condition. Time-based media, laborious processes and contemplative subject matter are just a few techniques employed by these artists, working to adequately express such universal truths. Culled from the Kemper Museum's steadily growing permanent collection, 'Remembering the Future' features work by a variety of artists, including Paula Rego, Norberto Rodriguez, Bruce Yonemoto and Till Freiwald, among many others.
