Matthew Parrish, Bass
Darryl Harper, Clarinet
Xavier Davis, Piano

Regina Carter is a master jazz violinist of great control, improvisational flexibility and wide-ranging style who is also one of the most significant and innovative violinists to emerge on the jazz scene in decades. Carrying on the legacy of Stephan Grappelli, Jean Luc-Ponty and Stuff Smith, Carter is keeping the jazz-violin flame alive. She's a true original, possessing the ability to integrate the finer elements of jazz, funk, American, Brazilian and soul music with an adventurous rhythmic sensibility. She demonstrates that she is one of today's most exciting and original jazz musicians. Carter and her group return to Yoshi's to perform music from her latest CD I'll Be Seeing You; A Sentimental Journey, along with selected repertoire from her critically acclaimed release Paganini: After A Dream; both recorded on Verve.
