Regent Street
London, England SW1

The A1GP World Cup of Motorsport is preparing to make a pit stop on Regent Street.

Sunday 27 April will see 22 teams and drivers descend upon the street ahead of the season finale at Brands Hatch on 2-4 May, with Lower Regent Street set to be transformed into an A1GP grid with all 22 nations’ single seat race cars lining up.

Need more entertainment? A live stage with jumbo screens might do the trick. Set to broadcast A1GP’s high-speed racing highlights and driver interviews from throughout the 2007/08 season, there will be plenty to amuse you if your partner has been tempted into the shops... In addition to this, 599 GTBs used as the series’ safety car will also be on display.

This event isn’t just about taking in the sights however. On the contrary, this day promises to be action packed for all the family, with display stands, interactive competitions, tyre change challenges, activities for the children, as well as food and crafts on offer to represent each participating country – giving the day a truly international feel.

Be sure to arrive early in order to witness the roar of an A1GP engine to start the day. If you need any more convincing to come along, perhaps the chance to meet Formula One legends Emerson Fittipaldi and Alan Jones will be added incentive.

Still need convincing to leave the comfort of the sofa on a Sunday afternoon? Well... of course, there the ever popular A1GP girls will be present on the day... but we can't see why that would make a difference...
