December 16 2009 -Downtown County Band

This band has performed on Red Barn Radio several times, and they always bring the house down. It’s difficult to sit still with this infectious music. The DCB play music from the turn of the 20th century, as well as some contemporary original songs. They celebrate the old Jug Band music born out of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers, as well as blues with origins spanning from the Mississippi Delta to the Carolina Piedmont.Downtown County Band members are Wes Petzinger (guitar), Keith Clifton (banjo), Sam McWilliams (fiddle), Dave Hawkins (mandolin) and John Atha (bass).
