The Fund for the Study of Spontaneous Orders at the Atlas Economic Research is hosting a reception in honor of Professor Peter L. Berger, Professor Emeritus of

Religion, Sociology and Theology at Boston University, on September 9th, 2009 at George Mason University School of Law. Professor Berger is the recipient of the Fund's Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the study of spontaneous orders in the social sciences, religion, and civil society.

Dr. Michael Novak, holder of the George Frederick Jewett Chair in Religion, Philosophy, and Public Policy at the American Enterprise Institute, will do the opening remarks and the presentation of the award. Professor F. H. Buckley, Associate Dean and Foundation Professor George Mason University School of Law and Executive Director George Mason Law and Economics Center, will be the Master of Ceremonies.
