Jumpstart’s Read for the Record on August 24 – I am an intern at Jumpstart, an early education nonprofit, and want to let community members know about a great event on Thursday, August 24: Jumpstart’s Read for the Record will set the world record for the number of children reading a single book – The Little Engine That Could – with an adult on the same day in support of early childhood education.

Public events, including readings and activities for children, are being held nationwide, including one here in Atlanta. Read for the Record Atlanta will be held at Piedmont Park, near the 14th street gate, from 2pm-6pm. To help set the record and be part of this historic event, please visit www.readfortherecord.org.
