Celebrated American painter and Baltimore icon, Raoul Middleman, presents Pop to Plein-Air at the C. Grimaldis Gallery, 523 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21224. The exhibition, which runs through April 28, 2007, includes more than 30 of the artist's works in oil and on paper. The show features a rare glimpse of Middleman's Pop period (1960's), with a work titled "Midnight Snack." Raoul Middleman, a Professor of Art at the Maryland Institute College of Art for over 40 years, is renowned for his passionate landscapes, cityscapes, still lives, and narratives. Raoul Middleman's Pop to Plein-Air at C. Grimaldis Gallery, 523 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, is an incredible show! It was jam-packed with a huge crowd for the opening on Thursday, and rightfully so! "One of Baltimore's great artists, teachers and raconteurs," as writer, Dan Rodericks has described him, Middleman is truly a "living legend" in Baltimore. This show is simply too good to miss!
